This is a five-gallon aquarium full of straw and ditch-water.
Sadly, we haven't had as much rain this year, so there weren't
the mucky standing pools at the bottom of the hill that served
me so well last year. But a good sample nonetheless.
I saw pink paramecium in this stuff! No, no picture...they look
just like regular paramecium, but vividly pink. I suspect it's
a sort of dye effect from something in the water, like a stain.
Note that the whole sample looks pretty reddish.
